Universal Sporting Boys F.C is a football club / academy in The Gambia which is based in the city of Serrekunda. The club / academy plays its trade in the Gambian National 3rd tier league. The team is nicknamed ‘The Panthers’ and has its main colors as Blue and White.
The Serrekunda based club / academy has its main offices in the heart of the city’s biggest industrial area ‘Kairaba Avenue’. Universal Sporting Boys F.C since making its debut in the Gambian third tier (2020) have shown sheer class andmade waves in the country. It has quickly established itself as a very promising club / academy with its unique structure and management style.
The project is spearheaded by Abdul Salam Ceesay who is the President and Owner of the club /academy who is advised and supported by Giles E.I Williams (Managing Director of Broke House College), Dev Kumar Parmar (Founder of Parmas Sports) and Suwaebu K. Ceesay (CEO and Managing Director of SKC Shipping and Properties LTD).
Abdul has garnered over 6 years of talent ID experience scouting and representing players mainly in the UK and has stretched operations to other parts of Europe before turning to Africa and setting up a base in the form of a Football Club that aims at identifying, recruiting, developing, and exporting players or having them placed at clubs abroad.

Learn MoreWith the support of Trusted Partners and Sponsors, the tournament debuts with 12 teams, with a minimum age requirement of 16 to 20 years for players. Our goal is to encourage youths in an expanded operation abroad to pursue education, soccer, fitness, and wellness tourism. This will be the largest education and soccer showcase event in The Gambia.
The academy is designed high-potential players. Student-athletes must be able to keep up with all training and competition programs. This event caters to players aged between 16- 20 years.
We also welcome teams, or groups, with players of all ages. All players who wish to enter the program must undergo our selection process and be accepted onto the programme.
The academy is looking for talented student-athletes who are committed to enhancing their game. The academy is designed for players who are capable of succeeding in an international soccer environment. To begin the application process, every participant must complete an online application form and provide a football CV plus a link with a video footage. A member of Admissions Team will reach out via phone or email to discuss the next steps. The application will be reviewed by our Admissions Team with input from the Technical and Academic team. Where an offer is made, this will be forwarded to you. You may be asked to attend a trial at a suitable venue, time and date.
